This Cookie Policy explains how Virtual Data Integration Ltd (trading as "Hone") uses cookies and similar technologies on our website and application at hone.detecktiv.io. It should be read with our Privacy Policy.

2. The law we follow
We use cookies in line with the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003 ("PECR") and the UK GDPR. In practice:
- Strictly necessary cookies are set without consent because the service cannot work without them.
- Cookie-based product analytics (PostHog) are set only after you give consent through our cookie banner, and you can withdraw consent at any time.
- Cookieless analytics (Plausible) set no cookies and collect no personal data, so they run on our public pages without requiring consent.
- Error and performance monitoring (Sentry) runs on a legitimate-interest basis to keep the service secure and reliable, and does not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

4. Managing your choices
- Cookie banner: when you first visit, you can accept or reject non-essential cookies. You can change your choice at any time via "Cookie settings" in the site footer. Rejecting is as easy as accepting.
- Browser controls: most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site working.
